"A Thousand Voices" est un album très arrangé avec une ambition électrique assumée. J’ai envisagé "A Lonely Voice" comme son pendant acoustique, comme un retour à l’épure pour se rapprocher de l’ossature des chansons.

Enregistrées en 2020, pendant les deux mois de confinement, j’ai dû me ré-approprier ces dix chansons pour les faire sonner avec une seule piste de voix posée sur une seule piste de guitare et de m’en tenir à cet exercice de style, en refusant toute tentation d’arrangement supplémentaire.

Même si ces chansons n’ont pas été écrites pour être jouées aussi sobrement, à l’écoute, je trouve qu’il s’en dégage quelque chose de fragile que je leur ignorais et qui se cachait derrière les arrangements luxuriants.

J’ai longtemps rêvé de sortir un double album qui proposerait deux versions des mêmes chansons, c’est chose faite avec "A Thousand Voices" et "A Lonely Voice".

"A Thousand Voices" is a very arranged album with an assumed electric ambition. I envisioned "A Lonely Voice" as its acoustic counterpart, as a return to purity to get closer to the bones of the songs.

Recorded in 2020, during the two months of confinement, I had to re-appropriate these ten songs to make them sound with a single voice track recorded with a single guitar track and to stick to this stylistic exercise, refusing any temptation of additional arrangement.

Even though these songs were not written to be played so sober, when I listen to them, I find that there is something fragile that I didn't know was there and that was hidden behind the lush arrangements.

I have long dreamed of releasing a double album that would offer two versions of the same songs, and this is done with "A Thousand Voices" and "A Lonely Voice".
